Austin Dillon to Race at Merritt Summer Showdown
Strong American Ethanol Presence at Event
Lake City, MI – Austin Dillon will be driving the No. 3 American Ethanol Chevrolet Super Late Model for Team Dillon Racing on June 10 at Merritt Speedway for the American Ethanol Late Model Tour. The sophomore NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver and former Nationwide Series champion will then head to the Quicken Loans 400 at Michigan International Speedway where he will drive the No. 3 American Ethanol Chevrolet SS for Richard Childress Racing. American Ethanol, www.YellowHose.com and Carbon Green Bioenergy have joined together to provide great opportunities for teams, drivers and fans at this event.
“I grew up dirt racing and still love it, so anytime that I get to race on dirt and race my NASCAR Sprint Cup Series American Ethanol Chevrolet SS in the same week is a good week,” said Dillon. ”In addition to being fun, racing allows me to showcase and validate the performance assets of American Ethanol; it’s homegrown, clean and renewable. Like many other innovations in racing we want to transfer those assets to the American motorist.”
Transferring the success of American Ethanol at the track to the highway is the ultimate objective of the group.
